Reducing the carbon footprint of consumer products with sustainable preservatives

 

BU F&F will provide a holistic examination of sustainability and the role of preservation in reducing the carbon footprint of consumer products.  Topics include: (1) carbon footprint reduction via renewable preservative feedstocks, (2) improving a product profile with nature-identical, biodegradable sodium benzoate preservative, (3) simplifying processing and saving energy in food production, and (4) minimizing waste by extending the product shelf life.
